\uD83E\uDD14 Problem

The Exchange Folder Agent is used to import contacts from an Exchange Online mailbox or public folder.

The imported contacts no longer contain an email address, although the contacts at the source have one.

The issue is restricted to Exchange Online.

\uD83C\uDF31 Solution

The solution depends on the PeopleSync version you are running.

PeopleSync Version 23.8.55.4855

  1. Download the most recent version of PeopleSync, which needs to be at least 23.8.59, from http://www.messageconcept.com

  2. Perform upgrade as described in the downloads file “readme-upgrade.txt”.

PeopleSync Version 23.1.838.0

  1. Please download the attached hotfix:

  1. Log in to the server running the PeopleSync Backend.

  2. Stop the PeopleSync Service

  3. Replace the file "exportExchangeToVCard.dll" in the following folders with the file provided in the hotfix:

    1. C:\Program Files\messageconcept\PeopleSync\Agent\wfx

    2. C:\Program Files\messageconcept\PeopleSync\Agent

    3. C:\Program Files\messageconcept\PeopleSync\Console

  4. Start the PeopleSync Service

  5. To fix the contacts, run the agent by selecting it in the console and clicking on the “Play” symbol.

This fix is only applicable to version 23.1.838.

Older Versions of PeopleSync

  1. Download the most recent version of PeopleSync, which needs to be at least 23.8.59, from http://www.messageconcept.com

  2. Perform upgrade as described in the downloads file “readme-upgrade.txt”.
