Agent fails with status code 404

Problem

Running an agent fails and an error message is logged in PeopleSync Console. The error message is as follows:

Whoops something went wrong! The server returned a status code of: 404

CardDav.HTTPException: Whoops something went wrong! The server returned a status code of: 404

Solution

This error message means that the internal URL configured in PeopleSync System Settings is wrong or the PeopleSync Frontend is not operational.

To verify if the internal URL configured in PeopleSync System Settings is correct, please do the following:

  1. In PeopleSync Console, go to System Settings.

  2. Copy the value from the Internal URL field to clipboard.

  3. Follow the steps outlined in How to know if Frontend is operational to determine if the internal URL is correct.

  4. Update the internal URL in System Settings accordingly.
